Aidan Kimball (Co-President)
St. Johnsbury Academy Junior
Culinary Arts and Commercial Baking
Hello everyone! My name is Aidan Kimball. I am currently an enrolled junior at St. Johnsbury Academy, in St. Johnsbury, VT. I am taking on the role as co-president along with my partner Emma Dana to help lead this year's chapter of SkillsUSA Vermont into the future. While I have a passion for the culinary world and have been in the kitchen since I was just a toddler, my true mission is to promote the topic of diversity. I believe that in today’s society, we should live in a world where we are all treated equally no matter the circumstance and I strive for just that. I am proud to be who I am, and I want every other person out there on their own journey to love themselves for who they are. Each person matters and everyone can make a difference. For the future, the dream is to open my own restaurant. I look forward to starting this new journey with SkillsUSA and representing this organization for the state of Vermont.
Emma Dana (Co-President)
Springfield High School Junior
Level 2 Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering – River Valley
Hello everyone! My name is Emma Dana, I am a junior at River Valley Technical Center in Springfield, and this is my second year in the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering program. This is my third year as a member of SkillsUSA Vermont. Last year I competed in Mobile Robotics and my team placed second. I work part-time at a local deli. In my free time, I produce a podcast with my friends and enjoy cooking. I plan on going to college to study architectural engineering. I’m looking forward to representing SkillsUSA Vermont as one of your Co-Presidents this year.
Riyam Al-Janabi (Treasurer)
Essex High School
Engineering and Architectural Design -- CTE Essex
Hello there, I am Riyam Al-Janabi. I'm currently a senior at Essex High School, and a second year student at the Center for Technology Essex in the Engineering and Architectural Design program. I am very happy to be selected as the new treasurer officer of the Vermont SkillsUSA leadership team. I have a strong interest in the many fields of STEM and art. Painting is a mental relief that I love to do during my free time, and that's why I wanted to take AP Art this year to have more time spent in art. Lastly, I have applied for architectural schools to pursue my dream career in the far future.
Bodwe Kashindi (Secretary)
Burlington High School Junior
Engineering and Architectural Design – CTE Essex
My name is Bodwe Kashindi, a Junior student at Burlington High School. I’m enrolled in the Engineering and Architectural Design Program at the Center for Technology Essex(CTE). There at CTE, I’m learning the process of designing as an Engineer/architect. As one of the outstanding students this year at CTE, I believe that there are always places to improve in our lives and I believe SkillsUSA offers an opportunity for all of us to improve our lives by showcasing our professional skills. Therefore, one of my big goals is to improve in personal growth, improve my communication skills, increase my confidence, and mainly to become an Architect.
